We have updated our electronic bill of lading standard (eBL Standard) for the bulk shipping sector, supporting the industry’s transition from paper to digital trade documentation.
The updated eBL Standard is a structured dataset consisting of 36 predefined data fields common to bulk shipping bills of lading. By establishing a common industry standard, BIMCO aims to support interoperability and accelerate the adoption of electronic bills of lading.
