BIMCO is pleased to announce the successful launch of its new Laytime Network, created for owner members with professionals whose core responsibility is laytime/demurrage analysis across dry bulk or tanker sectors.
This network held its first online session recently, bringing together a diverse group of members for an open and constructive discussion on common issues faced in daily practice.
The session included an introduction to BIMCO’s contractual support services, followed by an open-floor discussion where participants shared observations on current laytime practices, operational challenges, and emerging trends. The conversation reflected strong engagement and reinforced the value of providing a dedicated forum for this specialist area.
The Laytime Network is designed to support peer-to‑peer learning, encourage dialogue among specialists, and help members stay informed about evolving practices in the market. BIMCO will continue to develop this forum based on member input and looks forward to hosting future sessions.
