WINDSEACON is a BIMCO initiative to create a standard time charter party for the transport and installation of wind turbines in offshore wind farms.
The project aims to address the unique challenges and needs of the offshore wind industry, which is growing rapidly as a result of the global demand for more renewable sources of energy and the need for decarbonisation. The first draft is now ready for wider industry consultation.

BIMCO’s work to develop a new Energy Saving Device Retrofitting Addendum is making good progress. The project aims to provide the industry with a balanced contractual framework for retrofit initiatives designed to improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance overall vessel performance.

The BIMCO subcommittee developing standard clauses for carriage of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and batteries has finalised its first draft clause for industry consultation. We are now inviting industry stakeholders to review and comment.
